By Ken Rader- Painting Expert with Ken Rader Interiors L.L.C.
A lot of work but the results are worth it!
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
This project will call for the updating of Kitchen Cabinets. Here are the steps that will be involved to transform them.
1. Masking off all of the counter tops, walls, floors, insides of some of the cabinets, ceilings and doorways.
The homeowners wanted to save the paint job on the walls and ceilings, so extensive masking was called for. They had recently put in new wood floors in the Kitchen and extra care was taken to mask off the floor and use tape that would not harm the new finish, There are 4 doorways into the kitchen and these had to be masked off to prevent spray dust to filter into the rest of the house.
2. Clean the cabinets.
This is a necessary step before you start to sand on them. We removed all of the doors, hinges, and drawers. These will be cleaned, sanded and finished at our shop. There was just no room either in the home or on the property to work on these items. 24 doors, 12 drawers.
3. Sand the cabinets.
This is a 3 step process, First, sand with 120 grit paper, Second, sand with 220 grit, and third, wash the cabinets down with de-glosser also known as sanding liquid.
4. Prime the cabinets.
The primer that we are using is "Glidden Gripper". This primer will stick to almost any surface. And since we are using Latex/Acrylic paint, this is an ideal primer. Dries quick, provides a stain blocker and gives a wonderful smooth hard finish.
5. Paint the cabinets. Color- Swiss Coffee
We are using 'Behr Ultra Premium Plus" which is a primer and paint combination. This is a fairly heavy bodied paint and holds to the surface very well. It sets up pretty quick so it does not sag or run like some paints will. I like to put a lot of product on the surface and this is the paint to do it with.
I am using my Graco ProShot II to do the spraying with. Wonderful tool and not as much overspray as there is with a conventional airless sprayer.
There is a learning curve with this machine but once you master it you will always choose it for inside spraying.
Also, most painters refuse to use Latex/Acrylic paint on cabinets. I think this is throwback to the time when Acrylic paint was not very good. Most use Lacquer because it is so forgiving, dries fast and the impression is that it is more durable and lasting.
Lacquer begins to deteriorate from the moment it is applied. It is a 'Hot' topcoat so it will burn the product (Primer,Paint) It will grey or yellow unevenly as time goes by. Whites are no longer white. And as it ages the finish gets very hard and will chip and crack very easily.
The Premium Latex/Acrylic paints on the market today usually carry a lifetime warranty against changing color or becoming so brittle that it will chip off. Remember though, all paint will chip if you hit it hard enough or use abrasive materials on it.
6. Glaze the cabinets. We are using our own glaze mixture with the color ' Melted Chocolate' mixed in the glaze.
Get it in the grooves an corners heavy but then just light glazing and buffing on the flat surfaces.
7. Clear Coat the Cabinets. We will be using 'General Finishes- Polycrylic. This is a water base top coat that is extremely durable and will not yellow or change the color of the paint or glaze. Dries super fast, so you can put on 3 to 4 coats within a couple of hours. Super smooth, super hard and this product flows out like a factory finish.
There are some pictures that show the process up to the point of glazing the cabinets Posted at (www.kenraderinteriors.wordpress.com). Same article but with pictures. The doors and drawers are at the shop and I will post some pictures of them as we progress with them. I will also post some pictures of the glazing and top coating of the cabinets.
We will start glazing the cabinets Monday September 23,2013. Then we will start on the doors and drawers in our shop. I will post our progress.
There are several ways that cabinets can be updated. They can be painted, faux finished or we can freshen them up with a stain toner. The application of stain toner produces a very good look and is very cost effective.
The application of the stain toner will give the cabinets a new look. The color will be darker and very rich. For instance, if your cabinets are stained oak and are looking dated and tired. You can apply a toner in a rich mahogany, cherry, pecan, well any of a hundred stain colors. Then a protective clear coat is applied and the cabinets are ready to last another 20 years.
This is a new process that we have just started. We are very pleased with the results and we are sure that you would love the new life it can give your cabinets.

Painters in Northwest Arkansas- Ken Rader Interiors-"What is the latest HOT COLOR!
BROWN? YES BROWN!
By Ken Rader
Ken Rader Interiors, Painters and Decorators in Northwest Arkansas.
Brown Living Room Paint Design Ideas | Photos Pictures Galleries and ...Matching Colors With Walls And Furniture Brown Paint Colors | Home Design Ideas
Brown has something for everyone! It can be benign, friendly, versatile and totally up to date.
How can you not love brown? What do you think of when brown is mentioned? Milk Chocolate, a Brown Dog, Mother Earth?
Brown is not a threatening color and it can balance out almost any color. With the right brown you can make an environment feel stable or well grounded. This ability is the reason that brown can be seen on many historical buildings. It has stood the test of time. You will find a combination of browns, beige and whites.
Some have described brown as friendly.
Keep it brown, but add some red-tones and create a southwest look. Or add Terra Cotta or Brushed Clay and it appears warm. Even the addition of Black can warm up the look as apposed to White.
It is very versatile!
Browns can be great neutrals that when paired with other colors, can really make them POP! Oranges, Yellows, Reds and Greens all work wonderfully with brown. Think about pairing brown with Salmon, Slate, Bayberry Green, Sea Green or pick up a piece of drift wood and choose one of the grays that you see in the wood.
Brown and Blue can also be a great combo, for instance Chocolate Brown looks fabulous with Federal Blue. But then what about Snow White, or Pitch Black or Barn Red or Marigold Yellow, all winners.
The hit color for the beginning of 2013 was Gray. It is still very popular as the year has continued but Brown is appearing with Gray and is gaining in popularity so perhaps it will be the "Top Brown Dog".
Wood tones are always popular and people are falling in love with dark wood stains again. I have painted over a lot of cabinets that were stained and it looked like dark stained wood was on the way out. However, it is gaining momentum and a renewed interest.
I painted the outside of my house last fall "Espresso". The house is cedar sided and it was looking pretty worn out. I live in country and the color fits in wonderfully. I have also painted several sets of Kitchen Cabinets this year and guess what color the customer is choosing? Brown! I also bought a new laptop computer and it is Brown.
So if you are not on board with brown, maybe you should be. It is the latest "Hot" color and will stay around for quite a while.

Ken Rader Interiors "Arkansas Best Painters"-Helpful Hints for picking paint colors
Click on the Banner and visit our Web Page
Picking house paint colors isn't just difficult. It's terrifying! Pick colors that are blah, and your house will seem flat and featureless. But if the colors you pick are too bold, they might overwhelm the architecture... and upset the neighbors.
The best colors will highlight the most beautiful features of your home. Skillful use of color can even disguise design flaws, boosting the curb appeal and market value of your home. How do you find that magic color combination? Check out these exterior paint ideas.
1. Honor History
If you're planning to paint an older home, you'll probably want to use a historically accurate color scheme. You can hire a pro to analyze old paint chips and recreate the original color. Or, you can refer to historic color charts and select shades that might have been used at the time your home was built.
2. Jazz Up the Past
In some neighborhoods, homeowners fly in the face of history. Instead of choosing historically accurate colors, they paint their houses modern colors to dramatize architectural details. Using bright colors on old architectural details can produce startling and exciting results. But before you buy 10 gallons of bubblegum pink, it's a good idea to look at what your neighbors are doing. A fluorescent colored Victorian that looks splendid in San Francisco will seem wildly out of place in more conservative neighborhoods.
3. Consider Your Neighbors
The house next door can give you paint color ideas, but don't copy your neighbor exactly. Choose colors that set your house apart, without clashing with nearby buildings.
4. Borrow From Nature
The landscape around your house is blooming with color ideas. Trees may suggest an earthy palette of greens and browns. A beach setting might suggest vivid blues, turquoises, and coral colors. Even the garden in your front yard can inspire exciting color combinations.
5. Check the Roof
Your house is your canvas, but it is not blank. Some colors are already established. What color is your roof? Your paint color doesn't need to match the roof, but it should harmonize.
6. Look For Things That Won't Be Painted
Every home has some features that will not be painted. Does your house have brick walls? Vinyl windows? A natural wooden door? Will steps and railings remain their existing colors? Choose a color scheme that harmonizes with colors already present on your house.
7. Find Inspiration in Your Living Room
It may seem comical to paint entire house based on the pattern of a pillow case, but this approach does make sense. The color of your furnishings will guide you in the selection of your interior paint colors, and your interior paint colors will influence the colors you use outside. Once again, your goal is to harmonize.
8. Focus on Details
Depending on the size and complexity of your home, you may want to choose two, three, or as many as six colors. In addition to color for your siding, select accent colors for shutters, moldings, doors, window sashes, brackets, columns, and porch decks. But beware: too many colors will overwhelm your house. Too few can make your house seem flat and uninteresting.
9. Use Light to Add Size
It's no wonder large, grand estates are often painted white. Light colors make a building look larger, and white is the favored color for traditional classical architecture. You can add to your home's sense of size and dignity by using white or a pale cream color.
10. Go Dark For Drama
Dark siding or dark bands of trim will make your house seem smaller, but will draw more attention to details. Darker shades are best for accenting recesses, while lighter tones will highlight details that project from the wall surface. On traditional Victorian homes, the darkest paint is often used for the window sashes.
11. Discover Color Families
Contrasting colors will draw attention to architectural details. But, extreme contrasts will clash and actually detract from details. To be safe, consider staying within a single color family. For some accents, try using a darker or lighter shade instead of a different color.
12. Strike a Balance
A burst of a single color on just one part of your home may give it a lopsided appearance. Strive to balance colors over the entire building.
You thought you only had to pick colors? Sorry! Here are a few pointers to keep in mind as you choose paint for your house painting project.
House Paint Durability
The more intense a color, the more likely it is to fade. After a few years, vivid blues and deep reds might seem more subdued. Dark colors can also pose more maintenance problems. Dark colors absorb heat and suffer more moisture problems than lighter shades. And because dark paint fades, it can be difficult to match exactly when you do small touch-ups. But, don't rule out dark colors. They won't show dust and stains, and can give your house a sense of dignity or drama.
House Paint Sheen
House paint comes in several sheens, ranging from glossy to flat. The glossier the surface, the more likely it is to show imperfections, brush strokes and touch up marks. On the other hand, glossy surfaces are easier to clean. Many homeowners opt to use flat paint for walls and semi-gloss or glossy paint for columns, railings and window sashes.
Paint Color Deceptions
Color swatches look very different when they are brought out of the store and viewed in natural sunlight. Also, colors appear lighter on large surfaces than they do on small samples. Chances are, you'll need a much darker color than the one you first picked. Always test your selected color in one area before buying gallons of paint.

Northwest Arkansas Best Painters "Painting Problems you should know about"
Ken
Rader Interiors L.L.C. is happy to offer information all about
painting and decorating. Check out our Blog and we are sure that you
will find other articles that offer information on a wide array of
painting subjects.
This article will offer you some insight into some paint problems that you may have to deal with.
Peeling Paint

Another common symptom of a failed paint coat is when the paint peels off from the surface. The paint may commonly appear to curl and flake from the work surface for a number of reasons. Most commonly, the peeling occurs because of poor paint adhesion, due to improper prep work or lack of primer.
Before any new paint is applied to the exterior of your home, the surface must have the necessary "roughness" for the paint to grip to. Sanding and/or applying a layer of primer is sufficient to provide this "roughness."
Efflorescence

This condition most commonly occurs on painted masonry surfaces, such as brick or concrete. Efflorescence appears as crusty white salt deposits emerging through the paint film. This situation transpires when salts in the brick or concrete become dissolved with water, and then attach to the surface as the water evaporates.
Some common causes of paint efflorescence include moisture emanating from indoors, inadequately waterproofed below-ground walls, and poor surface preparation. If basement walls are not adequately waterproofed, ground water may penetrate the paint and induce efflorescence. Cracks in walls and other water damage are also common causes. If the concrete or mortar was not entirely cured and dried out when the paint was applied, or if prior efflorescence was not entirely removed before the last paint job, the condition may materialize.
Mildew/Mold
Another common symptom of failed paint is the appearance of mildew and mold. Mildew is easily recognized as dark green, brown, or black splotches on the paint surface, and is usually found in damp, shaded areas. Mildew is actually a living fungus which feeds and grows on paint film.
Mold
spores can float through the air and form new colonies where they land.
Mold and mildew have been found to cause several health problems, such
as sinus problems, respiration problems, sleep difficulty, and an
impaired immune system.
Mildew and mold is most commonly
caused by heavy moisture, poor ventilation, and lack of sunlight. A
combination of these conditions will provide an ideal habitat for mold
and mildew to thrive and grow. Some of the most common areas on the
exterior of your home where mildew may grow include the underside of
soffits, eaves, and similar shaded areas.
Chalking

Paint chalking occurs as a formation of fine powder on the surface of the paint film. Chalking paint will rub off of the surface and get on to skin, clothing, etc. Chalking paint can also have a fading effect on the paint coat. Chalking is actually a natural cleanses process of paint, however, excessive film erosion can result in heavy chalking.
This problem is typically caused by the use of a poor quality paint, or the use of an interior paint on the exterior of the building. Before applying a new coat of paint, be sure to fully remove any excess chalk from the surface. Primer may also be needed.

HAPPY PAINTING AND DECORATING!
Interior Painting In Winter
by Anonymous from Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Is it wise to paint your home interior in ARKANSAS winter when the outside temperature is freezing? Does it create some harmful fumes for the inhabitants of the home if you are using water based paints? Does it affects its finish and how much time it takes to get the paint dry? Is it necessary to keep the windows open a little bit? What happens if the heat is on and inside temperature is set at 72 degrees? All the relevant information about interior painting at this time of the year?
Answered by KEN RADER OF KEN RADER INTERIORS-PAINTERS, NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
Interior painting during a cold winter is very doable. Some problems you will run into include slower drying and curing of the paint. Fumes could also be another problem if you use oil base paint. Most if not all regular acrylic house paints are low VOC now so fumes is much less of a problem. If you are sensitive to paint fumes I recommend using a no-VOC paint.
Other problems with painting during cold weather are;
1- Condensation forming on windows. This is one good reason to ventilate during and shortly after painting.
2- The interior temperature could slow down the drying time a bit. Modern acrylic house paints dry very well in cool temperatures. This could be waiting overnight to apply a second coat. To help you could use a fan to circulate the air in a room.
Overall there isn't many problems with interior painting during the cold winter months. The best practices are paying attention to interior humidity and apply thinner coats to help with drying.
Several of the new paint products on the market such as paint and primer combination or Gliddens paint ,primer and filler combination dry very fast. This is a plus for painting indoors in the winter. They are also either Zero or Low VOC which will cut down on the smell as well. Most of these products can receive a second coat in about 1 to 2 hours and you will only need one good coat and a second light coat.
Painting the inside of your home during the winter is a lot of fun. You can't do much outside and are confined indoors for longer periods of time. And doing a project will keep you busy rather than zoning out on the couch with a movie, though that is a good thing from time to time as well.
I am posting some pictures of rooms that will perhaps inspire you to either paint the rooms yourself or hire it done by the professional. Winter is a slow time for professional painters so most will be able to do your job quickly and they usually have a winter special. We here at Ken Rader Interiors offer several specials during the winter months that make painting the inside of your house very appealing. Email us at kennethrader@att.net or give us a call at (479)443-3686 to find out what our specials are and book an appointment for a free estimate.
One of the biggest challenges to painting is picking the right color. A professional painting company will have a decorator on staff that can help you with that. We do and you will be amazed at how quickly a color can be chosen.

The colors in this bedroom bring the outdoors in, creating a tranquil setting
for sleep and relaxation.

Various shades of green combine with touches of blue for a soft palette ideal
for a bedroom.

Bold hues of pink give this bedroom a warm and sophisticated feeling.

Soothing earth tones and vibrant gold combine to give this bedroom a
non-traditional look

Artwork and accessories have no place in a room where materials and clean lines take center stage. White porcelain tile, cabinetry and countertops create a feeling of tranquility.

Good Painting Tips for a successful painting job.
Some Really Good Tips for a Successful Paint Job!
By Kenneth Rader
Ken Rader Interiors L.L.C.
One of
the best ways to give any property a new look is by painting it. In fact, many people
who buy new property give it a paint job,
irrespective of the age of the current paint.
Some consider the paint of the house as just something that makes the walls look
good, while yet others consider the colors
in their residence and business locale as a part of their identity. Whether
you are from the latter or former kind of people, you will have to put your
house through a paint job eventually. A bad paint job will seriously
hamper the look and feel of the house, and may do more damage to it than
accentuate it, therefore, you need to consider some aspects while painting, and here are some of them.1. The very first tip to have a successful paint job is covering up everything that is not supposed to go under a paint job and the flooring and the ceiling comes first in this list. The best, and the most economic way to save paint dabs from globbing or dropping onto the floor is covering the floor with paper, cloth, almost anything that is not very expensive and will shield the floor from any color that was not supposed to be there. The easiest is a paper drop cloth with a plastic layer on the bottom. They are relatively cheap and will lay flat so that you do not find yourself tripping on it all the time. If you use plastic by itself, it will bunch up on you and be a source of frustration.
Additionally, pay attention to the colors that you choose, and ensure that they match the room that you will be painting. Choose brighter, 'glad' colors for the Living Room and the dining room (if you have one), and more serene ones for the bedroom. You can also choose brighter colors for the children's room. The quality of paints also matters, as that would decide how long the paint looks bright and new, carry out some research and choose one that fits your budget and requirement.
2. Secondly, you should cover up furniture, rugs, and even fixtures that exist on walls. Doors, doorknobs, latches, etc. are the most common victims of the stalking nature of the paints. You can cover them with blue tape or masking paper. Pay attention to the edges, as those are the prime areas that fall victim to the unrequited love of the painter and paints. All time spent on this necessary task is well worth it. The feeling of success and pure joy when you remove the masking and find no paint under it makes the time spent well worth it.
3. Tools of the trade. Use high quality tools. Let me repeat this”Use HIGH QUALITY TOOLS! Why, you ask? Because you will need all the help you can get. High quality tools to the trade will help even the least skilled painter produce a wonderful paint job.
Here is what you need.
Lambs wool roller ½ inch nap
The highest quality 2 ½” nylon/polyester brush you can afford. Expect to spend $15.00 to $20.00. I prefer a firmer bristle on the brush. So check and see what it says on the brush. Soft, firm, extra firm. NO BRISTLE BRUSHES! These are made for oil paints, NOT ACRYLIC OR LATEX.
Roller Handle. I know that you see people using the roller frame without a handle all the time. They are ignorant. You are smart. Get the handle and save your back and save some time. Roller handles allow you to roll with wrist action verses back action with out one. No Professional painter will roll without one. I have several that reach from 2 feet to 24 feet. That is right 24 feet. You will probably never need one but I did.
A good Roller pan. Get as deep a pan as you can find. The thinner the sides the less paint you can put in the pan and the more times you have to fill it.
One final bit of advice. When you are putting paint on the roller do not submerge it in the paint. Just roll it up to the paint and let about 1” of the roller surface get in the paint. Repeat this rolling action until all the roller surface is covered with paint.
These are some tips you should consider while getting a good paint job done. There are many companies that offer paint jobs, and almost every region either has well known brands, as well as family owned businesses that offer you painting services for almost anything. If you are looking for someone in the Northwest Arkansas Area (Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bella Vista), let Ken Rader Interiors L.L.C. would be happy to assist you. PAINT YOUR HOUSE AND MAKE IT A HOME
Painting Your House Upgrades, New Paint will make it a HOME!
OPTIONS FOR PAINTING YOUR HOUSE
There are plenty of options to upgrade your home. Painting your house is one of the best ways to change the look and feel of the home from the inside out. A fresh paint job makes a home look sharp and feels clean. The upgrade can be done quickly and is one of the more practical home improvements. This upgrade is always suggested when trying to sell a home. Overall it is generally safe to say that painting your house is one of the most popular and cost friendly upgrades.Painting your house can always be considered a part of home maintenance. Not only do paint jobs and touchups clean up a house but they can drastically change the aesthetics of a room or exterior of a home. Nicks and dings are bound to make their way to your walls and doorways. Keeping leftover paint is always suggested to help make touchups easy. Professional companies can also come make free in home estimates and match exact color swatches if you do not have leftover paint of your existing color.
A new paint job can be made throughout the inside and outside of the home. Any room can enjoy a number of different services to enhance its look and feel. Everything from the ceiling to the floors and woodwork can benefit from a new paint job. The ceiling alone has multiple different upgrade options. Homeowners have to consider what color to use, if they want to add any texture, or if they want to remove any current texture there is on the ceiling. Hiring professionals to handle these tasks is always suggested. They are trained to safely paint hard to reach spots, high walls, and ceilings. Decks and garage floors are two more examples of paint upgrades that can be made throughout the home.
Painting your home not only upgrades it, but it adds style! Moving into a new house often means starting from a blank canvas of white or eggshell walls. Adding interior design can be quickly done with paint jobs and lets you custom decorate any room. Changing wall colors can add depth to a room, add comfort, and open a space up without having to spend a lot of money.
Hiring a contractor to handle your upgrades is always a smart idea. Not only can they give you free home estimates, but they can match exact colors and complete jobs quickly. Their professional services are available for a full range of services inside and out.

EXTERIOR COLOR SCHEME-FIVE TIPS TO CHOOSE YOUR COLOR
EXTERIOR
COLOR SCHEMES
FIVE
TIPS TO SUCCESSFULLY PICK YOUR COLOR!
WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING YOUR NEXT
COLOR.
COLOR TRENDS, PAINTS AND GOOD PAINTING
PRACTICE
Do you plan on sprucing up your home exteriors
this fall? Or, are you considering
placing you home on the market? No
matter what the reason, a fresh coat of paint can immediately revive the
overall appearance of what typically is your largest investment, YOUR HOME.
When it comes to exterior painting, many
people chose to repaint using the same colors that already exist on the
house. However, choosing a new color
scheme can be exciting and provide a new and updated look. In addition, remind yourself that refreshing
your home with a new paint job is one of the most cost-effective projects you
can invest in and one that truly adds value.
Choosing a new color scheme might seem
daunting at first; however, here are some suggestions that will help and guide
you through the color selection process.
- CONSIDER THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE HOME
Some architectural styles, such
as Victorian, lend themselves to elaborate four and even five-color schemes.
Others, like Georgian or Colonial styles, are better-suited to two or three
colors. Usually this includes a main body
color and one or two accent colors for trim, shutters and doors.
2. NOTE THE MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION
If the home is made of
wood, brick, masonry or aluminum siding, IT CAN BE PAINTED virtually any color. However, if it has vinyl siding, it might be
best to paint it a similar hue to the original, although newer paints on the
market have been formulated to allow for a wider choice on this surface. And several primer/sealers of the acrylic
variety will stick to the vinyl siding and allow premium exterior paint of any
color to be applied. These include Bulls Eye 1-2-3, Glidden Gripper, Kilz Total
Premium. If you read the labels of these
products you will see that they claim to stick to any surface. I have used all three of these and they
deliver on their promise.
3. TAKE FIXED COLORS INTO ACCOUNT
Consider the colors on and
near the house that cannot, or will not, be painted. This includes the roof color and wood,
masonry or stone that will be left unpainted.
Just remember that all of these surfaces can be painted with the
technology of paints and primers that are on the market today.
4. CONSIDER
THE SURROUNDINGS
Look at the hues of neighboring
homes and buildings-particularly those that are right next door. You would not
want to suggest a color that is exactly the same as your neighbor’s home, and
conversely, you don’t want to clash with it either. Also, be sure to take into account any
plantings that are in your yard or landscaping.
If your house is in a neighborhood where the houses are fairly close
together, then you would likewise consider the plantings and landscaping of a
nearby neighbor. This can make your
house and property appear larger than it is when it compliments what is next
door.
5. CHECK
FOR RESTRICTIONS
Some historical districts, newer
developments, and townhome or condominium communities have restrictions on what
paint colors or color combinations may be used.
To avoid disappointment, it’s best to find out about these limitations
before choosing and applying new hues.
Well, there you have it, 5 excellent tips to help you pick your new
color for your home. This is the easy
process. Next comes, the painting
process. This is probably the most
difficult and misunderstood process of all home improvement projects. I know, you have been bombarded with the idea
that you can do it yourself. Yes you
can, but at what cost. I mean, what will
it going to cost you in your time, energy and any relationship you have with
your mate or neighbors. It can be
ugly. Please give consideration to
hiring the professional painter for this.
Exterior painting is a different animal than interior painting. It is a big ugly animal that will bite you,
maul you and leave you whimpering on the ground. I have seen this happen and witnessed this
ugly truth.

Choose the Professional Painter and save yourself the stress
House Painters – Choosing the right Professional Painter is easier that you think.
Your Home is your Castle, when you're looking to make a alteration or improvement to it, you have to consider not only the final finished product, but likewise the experience, and of course professional behavior and all around worth that goes into the project. When you think about house painters, you can measure their service from the bottom up to see if they perform up to a professional level.
When you hire a painting contractor, the expense of materials consumes a significant portion of the currency you pay. Quality House Painters simply use only the highest quality materials to guarantee that your painting investment endures and looks attractive for many years. If they use cheap paint, DO NOT HIRE THEM!
Of course, the labor itself is the other major cost, and if a house painting company employs the right people, that can go a long way towards ensuring you receive quality for your money. The best companies are usually owned and operated by one person or perhaps a husband and wife team. They usually do all the work thus keeping control of quality and time spent on the job. That means that the company has to invest in itself and its employees, with the proper compensation, benefits and treatment, to ensure that the benefits of high quality employment is passed along to you.
The work of completing a chore also has to come with safe procedures and efficiency. Is the company insured? It is a valid and good question. Accidents must be prevented, or repairs may have to follow. Is the company properly licensed? It is very rare these days to find that licenses are not needed. Rather, with each passing year more licenses are required, both state and usually city. Projects ought to be completed within the budget or estimate, and on schedule with what has been projected. Meeting these challenges is the distinguishing factor of a true high quality company.
When you employ skilled and qualified House Painters, you will be getting much more than coats of paint on your walls. They are experts in their field, bringing all of their experience along to your project to insure superior results. Skilled house painters will do surface preparation to guarantee a flawless finish, and will spot potential troubles before the work starts. A skilled professional is proud of his work and it is the best advertising he can have. So he will do the best job possible.
This kind of skill and professionalism can only come with experience. House painters of this level of skill and knowledge can accurately judge the amount of paint and other materials are needed, and will have all of the tools or gear required to complete a job of any type, or deal with any and all issues which may arise.
So if you are getting ready for a painting and fixing up project this year make your selections wisely. Purchasing experience and professionalism will make a big difference. Scan their reviews, ask for references, and check to see if they are A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau. Do they maintain a five star evaluation in reviews and have been in service for many years. The qualified painting company always puts the customers first. This is the reason great painting companies have so many repeat customers. They know they can count on them to deliver the service they require.
